Again, earlier this year. This happened to be my first real studio photograph ever. Unfortunately, I was in quite a rush since we actually shouldn't have been in the studio so I only set up two lights. Thus, the light and muddy background. I rushed for a reflector on the left simply because I didn't have time to get another light (plus I didn't understand the rail-mount system).
Oh, and at this point, I was still assuming that f/22 would be the sharpest possible. My naivete.
Great set of equipment and lenses you got. Glad to see a new face in Am3. Belated welcome :)
Shouldnt f/22 really give you the sharpest shot? Anyway This portrait looks great. Nice use of lighting. Btw, how many pixels is the height of the image?

Lighting is a little harsh, with the highlights on his collar blown out. Although the lighting on his eyes worked well! Despite the shadow on the other side of this face, Daniel's right eye is lit.

You know I saw this in the community page, and thought to my self "Holy crap, I'm being stalked!" Then I realized it was your page, and I still didn't knew when you took this until I read your blurb. I remember this well, maybe we'll get to perfect our studio lighting/ strobe lighting next term when we're in photography.
