During a physics lab concerning optics. I have no idea about the physics behind this as many other things distracted me during that period of day. This was probably the first day I actually used my 17-40mm. I believe the focal point is about a mm or two off as it's really, really hard to focus without glasses in a dark room with no tripod.
I think I'll be posting my current magnum opus tomorrow.
Interesting shot. The red glow is cool. Reminds of a light saber lol. Anyway, maybe you could have made the upper right portion just black to really draw you into the red glow.

Amazing detail on the rod was. Your focus was right on with the marks on the rod's glass showing. Overall pretty good shot and I have no complaints. Cheers mate!
I can't wait for tomorrow although I already know what the shot is. Cheers!

nice and above all well done on getting anything in a dark room with no glasses/tripod. That earns bonus points. And Im all hyped up for tomorrows post after Michaels comment...Ill be logging on in good time for a front row seat!

Gorgeous color and precise details.

One of my favorites. Also love how you framed it diagonally, and not vertically, which would've made this really boring.
I hated physics...

AHhaha, I remember that lab. Great colors; you certainly shot them better than I did. What's that thing at the bottom right?
